Last week we watched this video of Conan O’Brien making blues songs with kids in Chicago. It inspired us to make this silly little video of our webmasters dog singing a blues song titled, “The Standardized Testing Blues”. Enoy, and be sure to share with your friends and teachers.

Lyrics

Awooooooooo!
I got the standardized testing blues

Ain’t got no music.
Ain’t got no art
Aint got no literature
poetry, play time, free time, me time,
no, no, no

Awooooooooo!
I got the standardized testing blues

All we do is study, study, study for the test.
At the bell, Pavlova dog Spits up facts what a mess
Lil’ robot dolls – Call me David Osmet
Cybertronic Mecha Model , the best one yet

Awooooooooo!
I got the standardized testing blues

We gotta take the test to take the test
to take the test with no context
Just a popery of politics
Leaves no doubt
Forget the kids – humanism ain’t no more- I shout!

Awooooooooo!
I got the standardized testing blues
Whatcha gonna do?
I got the standardized testing blues
Awooooooooo!

Say charter school, private school , home school
anything but the standardized testing blues.

Awooooooooo!
Let the teachers make the laws, the rules, the tests
and lay the Politicians to rest!

Awooooooooo!
I got the standardized testing blues
